Inspirational course for aspiring leaders
We were delighted to host a group of motivated teachers from across our Trust at the first two days of our new Aspiring Leaders course this week.
Delivered by our in-house team of education experts, this high-impact, practice-driven course is designed for senior leaders who want more than theory - they want immediate, in-school application. Unlike the NPQH, which focuses on academic frameworks over time, this immersive eight-day programme blends expert-led leadership training with live school-based tasks, giving participants real-world headship experience in excellent schools.
During the course, there are four classroom-based days and four schools visits. The participants have been able to learn from experienced leaders, apply their learning in live settings and leave with the confidence to lead from day one.
After the first two sessions, this is what colleagues have said about the experience so far:
I have really valued the time to think about things which are important to me, as a person and how this feeds into myself as a leader. Using this time to reflect on how these values would guide my vision and values for a school has been empowering and inspiring for my current role, as well as for my future roles.
Really nice to be able to do work with like-minded individuals who are interested in progressing in their professional careers.
Deep rich conversations had that challenged our thinking about leadership and ways to lead others.
The course covers:
- Vision & Strategic Leadership
- Embedding Strong, Trusting Relationships
- Creating and Sustaining a Culture of Improvement
- Recruiting and Developing Great Teachers
This course is the first in a number of CPD opportunities being made available to staff this year as part of an expanded offering.
