“The term ‘assessment’ refers to all those activities undertaken by teachers, and their students in assessing themselves, which provide information to be used as feedback to modify the teaching and learning activities in which they are engaged. Such assessment only becomes ‘formative assessment’ when the evidence is actually used to adapt the teaching work to meet the needs.”

At EAT we are committed to enabling robust formative and summative assessment practices across our schools. While all schools are driven by the same principles and use the same core systems this is not to say that assessment looks the same in each setting. We recognise that each school’s assessment system must fit their curriculum .

  • Termly teaching, learning and assessment networks for years 2 and 6
