Professional development
At Evolution Academy Trust we are ambitious to ensure all children leave our academies as well-educated, confident and responsible citizens, enabling them to be fully prepared for their next stage of education. Our CPD offer supports this through our Trust values of ambition, collaboration and responsibility.cpd brochure 25 26 final spreads.pdf
School-specific CPD
Each school has its own bespoke weekly CPD schedule, generated from their own school priorities, focusing on training which makes an impact in the classroom.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
We are working closely with the Julian Teaching School Hub and Ambition Institute, and are accessing outstanding training and support for our new teachers. We host our own annual ECT conference for all ECTs across our Trust, enabling them to learn from each other and network with purpose.
National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)
Have been heavily subsidised and these national qualifications are being taken by many of our middle and senior leaders across the Trust
Apprenticeship Levy
We have a number of staff completing these courses from administrative support to Masters Level courses.
Trust network groups
We have many networks groups across our Trust, bringing together colleagues for purposeful collaboration about:
- Raising Standards
- Inclusion
- Early Years
- English
- Attendance
- Safeguarding
National College (all staff subscription)
As an inclusive employer, we want to ensure that CPD is accessed by our governors, support staff, teachers and leaders. As a result, all schools and our central team regularly access National College training.
Secondment and work placements
From external volunteers to existing senior member of leadership, we work closely as one organisation to provide secondment, placement and other developmental opportunities.
